Trading at the Goodwood Revival

Last weekend, the 14th, 15th and 16th September we were trading at the fabulous Goodwood Revival. This authentic historic motorsport event, at the Goodwood Motor Circuit outside Chichester is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, and grown  to become one of the biggest historic motorsport events in the world, and the only one to be staged entirely in period dress.  There was a superb variety of racing cars from the 1930's right up to the 1960's, as well as motorbikes and of course some fantastic vintage aeroplanes.

We'd already traded there years ago, and have also visited as 'punters', so we knew what to expect, but it's always a surprise just how good it is. We had a double trade stand there which was located inside the main motor circuit, opposite the High Street. We were kept busy throughout, and as well as the two of us we had two lovely assistants to help - thanks Layla and Lana. :-) 

Apparently, over the three days there were approximately 150,000 visitors.  Here's a few pics from the event, which I hasten to add, do not do it justice, I suppose you really do have to be there to appreciate it. 

It was a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Mini, and there were loads of fantastic examples there.

All in all we can highly recommend the Goodwood Revival, and if we don't trade there again next year we've already decided we'll be going along anyway.
